Good news: Eden Games and Atari‘s Alone in the Dark (Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, PC) now gives gamers a more concrete release date to chew on. The bad news? It may be delayed.

Now, instead of a cryptic “Coming Soon Financial Year 2007/8″ teaser, the game may be pushed back to a September 2008 release window. Alone in the Dark has reportedly been pegged for a March release prior to the spreading of this rumor, however.

The game has suffered several announcements of delays, with one instance having an Atari spokesperson erroneously saying that they will go ahead and release the Xbox 360 and PC versions ahead of the PS3 one. It was immediately corrected however, so all is well about the simultaneous release of the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 versions of Alone in the Dark.
